First established in 1975, the Forrestfield Football Club has been the pathway for many young players who have gone on to represent local Sunday League Teams and Amateur Competitions.

Several of our players have excelled and have earned their opportunity at the Elite WAFL level, players past and present include: Michael Saunders (East Fremantle), Trevor Davidson (Peel), Lindsay Woods (Peel), Dwayne Griffen (Swan Districts), Luke Blackwell (Swan Districts), Tom Willday (Perth), Keith Delladova (Swan Districts), Justin Simpson (Swan Districts), Max Bailey (West Perth), Tylah Williams (Swan Districts/West Coast WAFL).

Dwayne Griffen, has progressed even further to become our first players to be selected to play AFL football when he was drafted to Collingwood. He made his AFL debut in Round 22, 1997. Luke Blackwell was selected in the 2004 National Draft to join Carlton under the father-son rule. Luke also played for Claremont and won the prestigious Sandover Medal in 2011 for the best player in the WA Football League. Max Bailey joined Hawthorn following the 2005 AFL draft and retired a premiership player in 2013.

A junior club since its inception in 1975, 2013 saw big advancements. With invaluable assistance from the Western Australian Football Commission, Western Australian Country Football League and the Hills Football Association, the Club welcomed its first ever Senior team. After playing two years in the Sunday Hills competition, we joined the WAAFL in 2015 and were Minor Premiers in the E3 Division that year. The team was then elevated to E1 Division and the tougher competition provided some great, close games. 2018 the team moved back to E3 Division, where the team had a great year and were Minor Premiers once again. In 2019 the Seniors team, playing in the E2 competition, finished minor premiers and then went on to take home the premiership. The flag now sits proudly on the wall in the clubrooms.

In 2019, the Forrestfield Football Club fielded its first female team in the Girls Youth Competition. This was a great milestone and showed our continued commitment to providing a welcoming and inclusive club for the community.

In 2023, the Club fielded two senior teams for the first time - a league and reserves team. This great achivement coincided with Forrestfield Football celebrating 10 years of fielding a senior team, with the club presenting a 'team of the decade'.

In 2025 the club celebrated it's 50th anniversary.
